Terms
Terms of Service
The full agreement between you, AdSlop, and — where relevant — advertisers using the platform.
1. Acceptance of terms
By installing the AdSlop extension, creating a developer account, or creating an advertiser account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use AdSlop.
2. What the service is
AdSlop shows one sponsored line in your editor status bar while you code (and, only if you opt in, an occasional toast notification) and pays developers 50% of the revenue it earns from their verified active sessions. Advertisers bid for those impressions in an open auction. Nothing about the service depends on an AI agent, and your code, files, and keystrokes never leave your machine — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what does.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your country of residence to use AdSlop, and must provide accurate account information (a valid email, or a GitHub account in good standing). Advertiser accounts must provide accurate billing information.
4. Developer terms
Payouts start at a €10 minimum, to your choice of SEPA bank transfer, PayPal, or Stripe — bank and PayPal payouts settle within 5 business days. Be a real human coding for yourself: automating activity, faking sessions, running bots, or gaming impressions voids the affected earnings and can suspend the account. We score every session for exactly this — it’s the whole point. The status-bar line is always dismissible and the extension can be switched off any time in settings; turning it off simply stops you earning, it doesn’t remove your account.
5. Advertiser terms
Ads are text-only, bid in an open auction from $1, and are billed per verified impression (and per click, at a rate disclosed at campaign creation). Campaign budgets are pre-funded from your wallet; unspent budget is refundable per the dashboard rules. You’re responsible for the legality and accuracy of your ad content — we may reject or pause campaigns that violate applicable law or these Terms.
6. Your account
You can change your email and password, set a payout method, and delete your account from dashboard settings at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent: identity and payout details are erased, any unpaid developer balance below the payout minimum is forfeited, any remaining advertiser wallet balance is refunded first, and earnings/billing records are retained anonymised only as long as tax law requires (see Privacy Policy §5).
7. Fees and payments
Developer payouts and advertiser billing are processed through Stripe. Prices to advertisers are exclusive of applicable VAT/IVA, which is added per Portuguese and EU tax rules based on your billing location.
8. Intellectual property
AdSlop and its logos are our property. Ad creative you submit as an advertiser remains yours; you grant us a licence to display it to developers for the duration of your campaign. The AdSlop extension’s source is licensed as described in its own repository, where published.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
AdSlop is provided "as is." We don’t guarantee any particular level of earnings for developers or impressions/clicks for advertisers — both depend on the live auction. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us (advertisers) or were paid by us (developers) in the 3 months before the claim arose.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, including confirmed fraud, abuse, or non-payment. You may stop using AdSlop and delete your account at any time, as described in §6.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any dispute not resolved informally will be submitted to the courts of Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence as an EU consumer.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced via a product update email (if you’ve opted in) or an in-dashboard notice; continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. The honest part
We named it Slop because they’re ads and we’re not pretending otherwise. We only ever send edit counts and timing — never your code, keystrokes, or files. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what leaves your machine.
